Hillfolk Illustration

Hillfolk is a local business owned and run by Beth Hill. Originally a graphic designer Beth has recently set up her own business creating and selling a series of illustrations with plants and flowers as the focus. Having studied Fine Art at university Beth did lots of work using oils and acrylics. However, now her computer is her canvas and she uses a digital stylus and design software to ‘paint’ pictures.  This combination of focussing on the natural elements of a scene and the computer “painting” creates a new take on some very familiar views meaning that Beth’s work really is something a little different to what you may have seen before. It’s refreshing and natural as well as very beautiful.
This stunning series of illustrations are mainly of vistas in the English Riviera with two particularly lovely pictures of Babbacombe Bay. With others including Cockington, Goodrington, Brixham and a host of other locations they are available as various sized prints, with framed versions an option. Many of the designs are also available as A6 greetings cards – the perfect way to send a message to someone who loves the area.  Beth’s range is growing all the time as she is often out and about taking photos and getting ideas for her next illustration. And, given that so much of her work is based on the flowers and foliage, the views change with the seasons so there’s always something new for her to focus on.  As well as the local scenes that Beth produces she also offers custom portraits which are absolutely delightful.
